The Starrett 1175Z Dial Indicator 81-136-1175 Groove Gauge is used to measure inside diameter (ID) grooves and internal notches, reads to 0.00 cm, the dial reads + or - 30 divisions, and has a total measuring range of 0.07 inches. Two sets of interchangeable jaws measure 1.25" and 2.5" in depth; 3 sets of interchangeable contacts 0.4" - 6" ) hole diameter, 0.1" - 0.25" groove depth and 0.0" groove width. The removable measurement contacts have a 1/2 inch retractable range and are made of hardened steel with a chrome-plated finish for long life and flush ends for measuring blind holes. The fixed jaw supports the weight of the gauge and the operator's hands, preventing erroneous measurement pressure and false readings. Fine adjustment screws and locks help provide extra precision.
